Our purpose and values
The purpose of our values is to improve the experience of patients in our care, and our own experience of working here. The four values are Kind & Caring, Respectful, Trust & Integrity & Personal Responsibility.
Who are we looking for
Individuals who are motivated to make a difference in healthcare and are keen to learn and develop.
Types of apprenticeships
We offer various apprenticeships including: Administration, IT, Estates and Facilities Services, to name but a few. We are continually working towards developing new apprenticeship pathways.
What is the programme of study
You will complete the appropriate QCF Apprenticeship Framework for your role. This will include vocational on the job assessment, technical certificates, digital communication, numeracy and literacy. Our partner education providers will support you along with the Apprenticeship Academy team.
What about progression
Like all apprenticeships, at Cardiff and Vale UHB we cannot guarantee a permanent position at the end of an apprentice programme. However, we can provide you with valuable, transferable skills, qualifications and experience that will serve as a spring board to a future career. Past apprentices have benefitted from this and gone onto a variety of roles both within Cardiff and Vale UHB and the wider community.
How do I find out more
All apprentice positions will advertised via NHS Jobs and the Careers Wales Apprentice Matching Service.
