Medical Observers & Clinical Attachments

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is pleased to offer Medical Observer and Clinical Attachment placements in structured cohorts throughout the year. These unpaid placements, lasting between 2 to 4 months, are designed for qualified international medical graduates (IMGs) who are not currently employed by an NHS Trust or Health Board in the UK.

Please note: This is a non-clinical observer role. Participants will not be involved in direct patient care and will not carry any clinical responsibilities.

Placements are suitable for:

  • Internationally qualified doctors seeking exposure to UK healthcare and culture
