Patient Voice Volunteers ensure the voices of our patients are being heard. Patient feedback surveys are essential to this as we want to always provide the best care possible. This is an important role for anyone passionate about our NHS. Patient Voice Volunteers are at the centre of everything that the Patient Experience Feedback Team does. They work with the patient feedback team and also support clinical teams on hospital wards and clinical departments to create and collect patient feedback which helps us to shape and improve our vital services.
You must have excellent listening skills and be non-judgemental. You should be confident when communicating with patients, service users, visitors, staff and general members of the public.
You should demonstrate empathy and understanding at all times.
Experience of befriending would be useful.
We are particularly looking for patient voice volunteers at the Children's Hospital for Wales (Noah's Art at University Hospital Wales) for surveys starting in July 2026.
This role is a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week – based on wards and outpatient departments at any Cardiff & Vale hospital sites.

You must be 18 years old or above to volunteer in this role.This role does not include advocacy or counselling.
