Health Charity Hub Volunteer Wanted

For our brand-new Health Charity Hub in the UHW we are looking for friendly and outgoing volunteers to support the Health Charity.

The Cardiff & Vale Health Charity is the official Charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The Charity Hub serves as a welcoming, informative, and engaging space that supports patients, visitors, colleagues, and the wider community. The Health Charity provides support across the whole Health Board, including hospital wards, departments, community health services, and research areas throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

As a Health Charity Hub Volunteer, you will welcome visitors to the hub and offer general support or signposting. You will also provide information about the charity’s activities, events, and ways people can get involved.

Our ideal Health Charity Hub Volunteers are:

confident with speaking to members of the public and staff members
friendly, outgoing and approachable
good listeners who enjoy chatting to people
willing to undertake necessary training

Volunteers will need to be available for a 2 hour shift once per week 11am - 1pm (Monday-Friday) and be able to commit to at least 6 months of volunteering with us. You will need to be over 18 years old to apply for this role. This role does not include advocacy or counselling.
