We can assist you with general enquiries, using databases, literature searching, systematic literature reviews and copyright. We also provide training on the NHS Wales e-Library for Health.   


One-to-one help and visits to departments 

We can give one-to-one help or visit departments either online or in person to give library inductions and information skills training. Please email to arrange a date and time.

Yes, you can access 1000s of e-books and e-journals from anywhere, quickly and easily, using our online catalogue NHS Wales Library Search


Do I need to pay for these services?

No, all of our services are completely free for CAVUHB employees

How do I navigate NHS Wales Library Search?

We have a Youtube playlist of guides to using NHS Wales Library Search, or please get in touch if you have any issues. Email, or telephone us on 02920 715497 (Mon – Fri 08:30-17:00)


Can I access items not on the catalogue?

Yes, if there is an item we do not have, you can use NHS Wales Library Search to easily request an interlibrary loan using the option at the top of the homepage. Alternatively, please email us and we can make a request for you. We may also consider buying a copy for our collection.


Where are the library spaces and what are your opening hours?

I am not confident with using library services, how can you help?

If you feel anxious about using library spaces, you can drop in during staffed hours or contact us beforehand and ask to be shown around, we’re always happy to help.

We can also offer training on how to use the various resources we provide, either in 1-to-1 or group formats.
