Internal Appointments Recruitment Toolkit

From 1 April 2020 a new internal appointments process will be in place which reduced the number of employment checks for internal appointments, and the way which they are undertaken.  N.B. this does NOT bypass the Trac system - you still need to upload adverts and job descriptions, shortlist and schedule interviews in the usual way.  

To ensure the process is more efficient the following principles will need to be adhered to:

  • Vacancies to be approved in a timely manner
  • Shortlist applications, ideally within 3 working days 
  • Schedule interviews without delay
  • Update Trac with with interview outcomes, ideally within 3 working days
  • prioritise employment checks and monitor to ensure they are prioritised
