Audiology Volunteer

This role is a home visit volunteer role to support elderly and poorly patient in the Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff areas.

As a volunteer, your responsibilities would include visiting patients to assist with the repair, replacement, and fitting of hearing aids, providing feedback from your visits to our department. While prior experience with hearing aids is advantageous, it is not a requirement, as comprehensive training and all necessary equipment will be provided.

Volunteers typically visit 4-6 patients every 1-2 weeks. We offer flexibility in scheduling; however, due to the logistical nature of the role, owning and driving your own car is essential for this role. We are seeking volunteers who can commit to a longer-term engagement.

If you are interested in proceeding further, please email volunteer.enquiries.cav@wales.nhs.uk

If you feel that the role is not suitable for you, or if you are looking for greater flexibility, you may wish to explore the RNID volunteer service.
