For urgent help that is not an emergency you should contact your GP in the first instance who can refer you to the most appropriate mental health services. If outside GP hours you should present at the out of hours GP at accident and emergency (A&E).

Samaritans Helpline

 

Free confidential emotional support to anyone experiencing feelings of distress or despair including those which may lead to suicide. Face-to-face meetings at local offices.  Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Mind Helpline

 

Free confidential help on a range of mental health issues.  Open Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
