The Employee Wellbeing Service is able to offer brief focussed counselling, provided by our highly qualified and experienced team of counsellors. Following on from a resource appointment if it is agreed that Counselling is an appropriate option, you will be offered a counselling assessment session and up to five further sessions.
Counselling can provide you with a safe, non-judgemental space to explore some of the things which are causing you difficulty in your life. People use the service for a variety of reasons which may be personal or work-related.
Confidentiality is paramount. We do not share our records with any other person, service or department in the UHB and your notes do not form part of your personal, medical or Occupational Health file. Counsellors are bound by the British Association for Counselling ad Psychotherapy code of ethics as well as national and local guidelines. Your counsellor will discuss these in more detail with you.
All of our are registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by its ethical framework.
