Symptoms of balance disorders in the inner ear typically starts as a spinning sensation (rotational vertigo) when moving. Most commonly, this is when rolling over in bed or looking up.
The Balance Team carry out assessment and rehabilitation of vestibular disorders (dizziness or imbalance related to the inner ear). If you are suffering from dizziness, vertigo or imbalance your GP may refer you to the Audiology Department for an assessment. Depending on your symptoms you may also see a doctor in Audiovestibular Medicine or ENT.
