Not unless an assessment is completed by an ALAC therapist, or the referrer is aware of guidelines which need to be followed regarding restraint, and takes responsibility for risk assessment, measuring, supervising fitting position, and monitoring of use.
Use of an unnecessary restraint device is illegal.
