C1 ward is a ward dedicated to Gynaecology Oncology. It is located on the C-Block in the University Hospital of Wales on the 1st floor.
Parking
There are several car parks available on the UHW site, they are all well sign posted. Parking is not free.
Directions to C1 Ward
To access the ward you can enter through the main hospital entrance and proceed to C block. Take the lift/stairs to the 1st floor. Sr Carolyn Alport and her dedicated team of nursing staff will be ready to welcome you, and will endeavour to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as possible.

Visiting times on Delyth ward are:
Weekday and weekends
2pm til 4pm6pm til 8pm
Due to the nature of the ward visiting times must be adhered to.
This allows the medical and nursing staff to carry out their duties safely throughout the day.
If for any reason these times are problematic do not hesitate to discuss this with the Ward Sister or the nurse in charge.
Mealtimes
Breakfast - 8:00 – 08:30
Lunch – 12:00 – 13:00
Supper – 17:00 – 18:00
Protected meal times are in place on the ward to allow our patients to have their meals without disruptions.
Relatives of patients who need regular assistance with eating and drinking are actively encouraged to attend the ward during mealtimes if they wish to help their relative with their meals. Please discuss this with the nurse in charge.
Personal Property
When you are preparing for admission please keep personal property to a minimum and bring into hospital only what is required, as there is limited storage space for each bed area.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones are permitted in the ward, but patients are asked to respect each other’s privacy and dignity. All mobile phones must be turned down or switched to vibrate only. The use of phones on the ward is not permitted before 8 am or after 9 pm at night.
Mobile shop
A mobile shop selling newspapers and refreshments visits the ward daily.
Cafeteria / Canteen
There is a cafeteria provided by the WRVS which can be found in the ante-natal clinic.
The canteen and larger cafeteria can be found near the main entrance to the hospital on the main corridor.
