The Neurophysiology Department conducts a range of tests which chart different brain and neurological activities. These tests record:
- Electrical impulses in the brain (Electroencephalogram).
- Electrical signals passing along nerves in the limbs (Nerve Conduction Studies).
- Electrical activity in muscles (Electromyogram).
- Response of the retina (eye) to light stimulation. (Electroretinogram/ Visual Evoked Potential)
- Responses of the brain and spinal cord to evoked potentials.(Somatosensory Evoked Potential)
