Referrals to the Integrated Autism Service

How can I refer?

We accept referrals from all health professionals for diagnostic assessments.

Please complete the referral form and send it to us.

If you are an individual seeking a diagnostic assessment, please ask your GP or a relevant health professional to complete the referral form and refer you.

For those who already have a diagnosis we accept referrals from professionals, self-referrals, and referrals from parents and carers. We may ask to see evidence of a diagnosis. Referrals can be made by phone, email or in writing.

What can I expect after a referral?

Diagnostic assessments: When we have received your referral you will be informed that you are on our waiting list. You will be sent some questionnaires to complete before your appointment and then invited for 1 or 2 assessment appointments. Following your assessment, we will offer advice about the next steps and provide you with a report.

Other referrals: If appropriate, you will be offered an initial appointment with a member of our team who will assess your needs and make a plan with you. The outcome of that appointment may be that we offer you group support, signpost you to other services, or offer you some individual support.
