Electronic Assistive Technology

At the National Centre for Electronic Assistive Technology (EAT), we work with professionals across the whole of Wales to provide equipment to enhance the quality of life and independence of individuals with serious disability.

Our work includes the provision of:

• Communication Aids - we are the Welsh specialist hub service for complex Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) – the AAC hub
• Environmental Controls
• Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

The National Centre for Electronic Assistive Technology is based at the Artificial Limb and Appliance Centre at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff, with some staff in North Wales.
