The Learning Education and Development (LED) Department provide a Corporate Induction Programme to all newly appointed Senior Medical Staff which aims to provide them with appropriate information, networks and orientation to organisational structures and to the ways of working within the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
The Programme provides Senior Medical Staff:
• With an opportunity to meet, discuss and debate UHB issues with Board Members.
• With an opportunity to discuss key UHB issues with the Chief Executive.
• Receive appropriate Mandatory Training elements including Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding Children and Equality and Diversity.
• With the opportunity to meet and discuss specific topics at the presentation stands with appropriate subject matter experts.
The LED Department work closely with the Medical Workforce Department, to ensure that all new Senior Medical Staff, are invited to attend the SMSI Programmes which are held twice a year.
