Children and Women's Services

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology service provides a tertiary (specialised care) service for women with specialist needs in fetal/maternal medicine and it is a regional centre for oncology. A community midwifery service is also provided in some local health clinics providing family planning services.

Current Service Status:

  • All services are currently running with no services postponed.
  • The service is running at reduced capacity to allow current COVID-19 measures to be followed.
  • A mixture of face-to-face, virtual and/or telephone appointments are being offered to patients.

Key service changes in response to COVID-19:

Some Gynaecology outpatient clinics (including the Pregnancy Advisory Service) have moved to Cardiff Royal Infirmary (CRI). Please read your appointment letter carefully before attending.
