  1. The Cord Blood Center is a new organization dedicated to promoting the benefits of public cord blood banking. Umbilical cord blood has helped children survive over 80 diseases including leukemia, lymphoma, and anemia and is now being used in older patients. Our mission is to help others understand how they can benefit and help save the lives of sick children in need.
  2. The British Association of Perinatal Medicine (BAPM) was founded in 1976 and its aim is to improve the standard of perinatal care in the UK. BAPM is involved in: defining standards for staffing, cots, equipment and facilities; the preparation of managenent guidelines; auditing the outcome of perinatal care and advising on training of future doctors within perinatal medicine. The association also provides the government with advice regarding developing and improving perinatal care and is represented on a number of national working parties.
