Admin Team

Lesley Ackerman has been working as a MS Data Manager since May 2020. She line-manages the MS Administration Team, organises the weekly Multi-Disciplinary Team Meeting where treatment decisions are discussed.  Lesley supports the treatment pathway of these MS Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT's) and coordinates patients' prescriptions for DMT's and organises blood appointments in line with DMT drug protocols.  She can be contacted via the team answerphone, or her direct line 029 20748161.  

Sophie Purbrick provides secretarial and administrative support to the MS Nurses and Therapists.   Her role is often behind the scenes with organisation and planning of investigations, appointments, follow-ups, referrals to other specialties as well as typing letters from your clinic appointments. Gaynor Cooper has worked alongside and now with the MS Team for 16 years.  Her role is to organise the scans tests you will need if starting on Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT's). She works with the day unit booking your DMT treatment appointments and monitors your treatment and organises post treatment blood tests and MRI scans. Gaynor supports the data manager in her role with the DMT's  as well as co-ordinates and works in a DMT clinic with the MS Nurses. Carole Atkins joined the Team in January 2021 as a Medical Secretary.  Carole provides administrative support to Dr Emma Tallantyre and Dr Trevor Pickersgill primarily.  She can be contacted via the Helen Durham Centre or on 029 20745564.  

Relina Fletcher joined the Neurosciences Team in June 2020 and transferred to Helen Durham Centre in February 2022.  Relina provides secretarial support to Professor Robertson primarily.  She can be contacted via the Helen Durham Centre or on 029 20745403.
