The Medical Education Department offers a wide range of teaching programmes.

Foundation Programme Training 

The Foundation Programme is a two-year general training programme which forms the bridge between medical school and specialist/general practice training.

GP  Teaching

GP teaching takes place every Wednesday between 2.00pm and 5.00pm on 2nd Floor, Cochrane Building, UHW.   It is open to all GP Trainees on the Cardiff Scheme.

IMT Teaching

There is a local programme of clinical skills and simulation teaching to support training needs.  A Regional Teaching Programme is co-ordinated centrally by the Specialty School, HEIW. CST Teaching 

There are local ad hoc skills sessions delivered within the UHB and a Regional Teaching Programme that is co-ordinated centrally by the Specialty School, HEIW.  For further information regarding CST specific teaching opportunities please contact Mollie Lewis Mollie.Lewis@wales.nhs.uk

Psychiatry CME Programme
