APB Annual Report 19-20

We are pleased to be sharing our review of the APB’s work in Cardiff & Vale APB Annual Report for 2019-20.

APB Annual Report 19-20

We look at the impact Covid-19 has had on the financial year, how the APB first started to fund the provision of long acting buprenorphine injections (trade name Buvidal). We also discuss our process for Fatal Drug Poisoning Panel reviews and the collaboration between Cardiff Council’s homelessness services as it sought to respond to the complex needs (including substance misuse) of rough sleepers and homeless individuals.

As we progressed through 2019/20, the APB recognised the need to broaden our involvement of service users in all aspects of the APB’s remit. We aim to embed service user involvement in all aspects of our work and improving how we capture the views of children and young people across the region, including those in the Vale of Glamorgan.
