After a period of time whereby our homebirth service has been suspended due to extreme operational pressures, we are pleased to reinstate this service from Monday, 30th January 2023.

It is important to note that we are still experiencing some shortages within our staffing rosters, and we will continue to assess maternity services on a daily basis to ensure we are providing the safest possible care. If you wish to discuss having a homebirth, please speak with your community midwife.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the families of Cardiff and Vale for their co-operation and understanding during a time of great difficulty. To all staff within maternity services, thank you for all of your ongoing hard work and commitment, you go above and beyond on a daily basis to provide a high standard of care.
