A new Bwyd Blasus restaurant has opened at University Hospital of Llandough, located at the front of the hospital site in the space previously occupied by Aroma.
Following the success of the Bwyd Blasus restaurant at University Hospital of Wales, the new venue offers colleagues, patients and visitors another place to eat, drink and take a break while at the hospital.
Bwyd Blasus, which means "Tasty Food" in Welsh, serves a range of freshly prepared meals, snacks and drinks, alongside a comfortable dining space. Whether you're visiting a loved one, attending an appointment or taking time out during a busy shift, the restaurant provides a convenient option for food and drink during your day.
The menu includes hot meals, grab-and-go options, barista-style coffee and a range of vegetarian and plant-based choices.
Following feedback from customers at the University Hospital of Wales restaurant, a separate queue has been introduced for grab-and-go purchases at the new Llandough site. This provides a quicker option for those who are short on time and only need to pick up drinks, snacks or takeaway items.
Andrew Pritchard, Head of Retail Catering said: "This has been a long time coming and it's great to see Bwyd Blasus now open at University Hospital of Llandough. Located at the front of the hospital site, the restaurant offers a wider range of food and drink options, including more healthy options. We've also listened to feedback from customers at our University Hospital of Wales restaurant and introduced a separate grab-and-go queue for people who are short on time and need to make a quick purchase. Bwyd Blasus is a great addition for colleagues, patients and visitors using the Llandough site."
Bwyd Blasus is now open Monday to Sunday from 7am to 7pm.
