Lorna has 40 years’ experience within the NHS. Her journey started as a student Pharmacy Technician at the University Hospital of Wales in 1985 and progressing to a Senior Pharmacy Technician from 2010 within the technical side of Pharmacy in St Marys Pharmaceutical Unit for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (SMPU).

Her latest role within Pharmacy was Procurement Lead for Technical services, successfully completing Levels 4 to 6 to the Chartered institute of Procurement and Supply.

Over the last 10 years she has been active within the Trade Union movement for Unison, rising through to Lead Representative for Primary Care and Intermediate Care, and an active spokesperson for Staff Side.

Her work has covered all aspects of staff representation, partnership working, and advocacy, ensuring the voices of colleagues are heard and supported.
