The national pay system for the NHS - Agenda for Change (AfC) - applies to the vast majority of directly employed staff, excluding doctors, dentists and top management.
The terms and conditions of service of staff employed under AfC are set out in a handbook published on the Agenda for Change Website. This will be republished to reflect the changes agreed by the UK NHS Staff Council. These Terms and Conditions are incorporated into each of the BIP's Employment Policies so for guidance on specific matters, it is also advisable to refer to the relevant Policy or Procedure.
