If you have been referred to the Rapid Diagnosis Clinic (RDC), this is because your GP is suspicious about your ‘vague’ but concerning symptoms.
Your symptoms, such as unexplained weight loss, or nausea, could be caused by a number of conditions, but they could also be due to a cancer.
The RDC has been designed to provide you with a detailed and personalised assessment and quick access to diagnostic tests to reach a diagnosis quickly, so you have an explanation for your symptoms and understand the next steps to be taken, or you can be reassured that your test results are normal.
This webpage is here to help you at each stage of the process from your GP referral, through to your appointment and what you can expect.
The following video also explains more about the Rapid Diagnosis Clinic and what you can expect from your appointment.
