Inpatients

Coming into hospital can be very stressful for a child and their family. Here is some information to try and make this time easier for you. 

Before your visit

You will need to bring the following with you.

• Essential toiletries
• Mobile phone and charger
• Comfortable clothing
• Nightwear/Slippers or alternative footwear
• Books and magazines
• Earphones for use of electronic devices (especially at night)
• Tea/coffee and your own mug

The hospital has free WIFI if you log onto CAV Health Charity Free Wifi

You need to pack for your child

• Favourite toy or teddy 
• Nightwear - pyjama's , slippers and dressing gown
• Spare comfortable clothes and underwear
• Things to help them pass the time e.g.comics, colouring books, games etc
• Earphones for electronic devices

Babies may also need

• Dummies
• Bottles
• Teething gel/ring
• Nappies
• Baby wipes
• Usual nappy cream
