MS does not cause infertility or increase the risk of pregnancy complications such as miscarriage, premature birth, still-birth or birth defects.
Overall, pregnancy won’t make your MS better or worse and does not increase the risk of worsening long-term disability. Some patients may experience some worsening of MS symptoms, but many people’s symptoms may also improve.
If you are planning a pregnancy and are on treatment please discuss with your Neurologist or MS Nurse so that we can discuss your plans and review your medications
