Jacki Smee is a Multiple Sclerosis clinical nurse specialist. She trained in Cardiff and qualified in 1991. She has worked in Neurology at the University Hospital of Wales and on Neuro ITU in Oxford. She became an MS nurse in 2003 and was involved in the setting up of MS nurse-led clinics and ongoing development of the service. She has a special interest in research and treatments in MS.
Rhiannon Jones is a Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Specialist. She joined the Trust in 1986 as a qualified nurse and worked on the Neurology ward for eleven years, during which time she helped set up and run the Neurology Day Unit beds which has now developed into the Neurology Day Unit. Rhiannon joined the MS Team in 2000 when there were just three members and has watched the team grow in strength and members. Rhiannon runs face to face and telephone symptom management clinics in Cardiff and works in the Neurology Day Unit administering Disease Modifying Treatments (DMT) along with other Neurology treatments. Rhiannon also supports the Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) patients.
Sian Locke is a Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Specialist. She trained in Cardiff and qualified in 1990. She worked in neurology for 20 years before joining the MS Team in 2010. Sian is involved in running nurse led clinics Cwm Taf and in Cardiff. She also works in the Neuro day unit. She has a specialist interest in sexuality sex and MS and continues to develop her skills and expertise in this area of MS nursing.
Laura Davies is a Multiple Sclerosis Support Nurse. She qualified in 2004 and has worked within the Neurosciences since then with experience in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-Rehabilitation and Spinal Injuries both in the UK and overseas. She joined the MS team in 2020 and her role has involved working in the infusion unit administering Disease Modifying Treatments (DMT), DMT blood monitoring and carrying out symptom management clinics. She has an interest in Research, Advanced MS and is currently studying for a MSc in Advanced Healthcare Practice.
Lynn Kelly-Jones is a Multiple Sclerosis Clinical Nurse Specialist. She trained in Cardiff and qualified in 2005 and has since worked in Neurosurgery and Neurology. Lynn joined the MS team in 2014 as a Support Nurse and then became a Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2018. Lynn now runs face to face and telephone symptom management clinics and also virtual blood monitoring clinics in Cwm Taff and Cardiff and also works in the Neurology Day Unit.
