On the 13th November representatives from the Board of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board met with Welsh Government as part of a series of Public Accountability Meetings held with NHS organisations across Wales.
These meetings are designed to ensure openness and transparency, allowing the Welsh Government to review how health boards are performing and to hold them to account for delivering safe, effective, and sustainable care.
During the meeting, key topics discussed included finance, performance, workforce, and the culture of the organisation. The discussion also emphasised the importance of strong leadership, clear communication, and working with other health boards to benefit communities across Wales. These meetings are an important way for the public to see how their local NHS is being supported and challenged to deliver the best possible care.
