Closure of Pharmacy Announcement – Lloyds Pharmacy, Sainsbury's Thornhill

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board has been formally notified that Lloyds Pharmacy have made the decision to close their pharmacy located within Sainsbury’s Thornhill, Cardiff.

This pharmacy will be closing on Sunday May 21st 2023.

As part of the regulatory procedures on the notification of any permanent closure the Health Board will be reviewing pharmaceutical provision in the area, to ensure the local population can still access appropriate pharmaceutical services, in accordance with Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2021.

Patients are reminded that they have the choice to visit any pharmacy across Cardiff and the Vale to get their prescription fulfilled and to access clinical services, such as the Common Ailments Service.

Please note, your GP practice will not be able to recommend any particular pharmacy but can advise on the ones nearest to your practice.
