Lived Experience

Who are Lived Experience?

We offer people with lived experience of receiving support with their mental health challenges opportunities to contribute their unique and invaluable insight of accessing, or supporting a loved one who is accessing mental health services.

By sharing your lived experience, together we can shape and improve services based on your knowledge, challenges and expertise to make a real difference.

What do we do?

The Lived Experience team aim to work in creative and progressive ways and welcome a variety of lived experience engagement ideas. These may include (but in no way is limited to):

  • Lived experience representation on interview panels
  • Service user/carer consultation
  • Focus groups
  • Arts and health projects
  • Recovery College course co-production
  • Ward-based course requests
  • Peer support workforce implementation
  • Wider lived experience consultancy, co-production and training
