Gender Pay Gap Report

What is the Gender pay gap?

The Gender pay gap shows the difference in the average pay between men and women in the workforce. The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 came into force on 6th April 2017, which requires employers in England with 250 or more employees to publish statutory calculations every year showing the pay gap between their male and female employees.

As a large NHS healthcare organisation, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is duty bound to report its annual gender pay gap information by March 31st.

Whilst the Health Board has been fully compliant in submitting this data through the governmental portal, in the interests of transparency the full comprehensive report is currently in the latter stages of internal ratification and will be published imminently.
