Clinical Senate

The Clinical Senate is a quarterly forum of multi-professional clinicians within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board which is chaired by the Medical Director.  The forum provides a platform for the sharing of good practice and innovation in line with the UHB strategy, Shaping our Future Wellbeing.

In providing the opportunity to share learning, innovation and good practice, the Senate facilitates the sharing of information throughout the health board.  It aims to promote integration by supporting communication between primary and secondary care practitioners.  The Senate can benefit individual clinicians by helping them understand the enablers and the blocks to implementing change in their clinical area.

Minutes and slides from individual presentations will be made available below shortly after each senate.

Suggestions for presentations at the Clinical Senate are welcome – please contact Dr Rachel Rayment at Rachel.Rayment@wales.nhs.uk.
