Administration & Resource Officer

Caroline was appointed to the team as a full time Administration and Resource Officer in February 2014.  Having worked in the NHS for over 35 years, she has been employed in a variety of different administrative and medical secretarial roles. 

Deborah Page

Personal Assistant to Public Health Consultants

 

Deborah has been part of the C&V Public Health Team since 2013, working as a Personal Assistant to Consultants in Public Health Medicine and providing full admin support.

Before joining C&V, she held a variety of PA and Office Manager roles across manufacturing, legal and even the European Parliament.  Her background spans healthcare, legal, government, and commercial sectors, giving her a well-rounded perspective and a wealth of experience.

With over 30 years of PA experience, Deborah brings strong organisational skills and a calm, practical approach to the team.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the gym, going for walks and playing tennis whenever she gets the chance.

Heather Kean

Business Support Manager

Heather joined the Local Public Health Team in July 1992 as a part time administrator.  Her current role is to provide the Team with business management and budget support, along with the management of the administration team.

Louise Thompson

Personal Assistant to Public Health Consultants

 

Louise is an experienced and well-organised Personal Assistant with 33 years’ administrative experience across Public Health, Education and the Charity Sector, including extensive experience at Executive PA level.

Currently working as PA within the Public Health Team at Cardiff and Vale UHB, supporting Public Health Consultants and Senior Leadership through the effective coordination of meetings, communications, diary management and daily administrative functions, liaising with stakeholders and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Since joining the team in 2015, Louise, alongside her job-share colleague, has played a key role in establishing and developing the team’s first job-share PA position, helping to shape consistent systems and ways of working.

Prior to her move into Public Health, Louise held senior administrative roles in both the charity and education sectors. In the charity sector, she served as Personal Assistant to Chief Executive and HR Director, supporting executive decision-making, coordinating high-level meetings and managing confidential correspondence and HR-related processes. In the education sector, she worked at Cardiff University as Secretary to the Deans at the Centre for Lifelong Learning, providing comprehensive administrative and diary support to academic leadership, coordinating committees, and maintaining key office systems.

Meg McNaughton

Administration & Resource Officer

Meg was appointed to the Public Health Team as a full time Administration and Resource Officer in September 2024, having joined Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in 2021 and completing a Diploma in Digital Application Support alongside her previous role.

Narindar Kaur

Administration & Resource Officer

Narindar was appointed to the Public Health Team as a Part- time Administration and Resource Officer in September 2024 having previously worked in school administration. 

Rachel Flynn

Personal Assistant to Public Health Consultants

 

Rachel’s background is within Facilities and Contracts Management within the private sector.

After a period of ill health and hospitalisation in 2017 after the birth of her son, Rachel wanted to give back to the NHS.

Rachel has since worked in various support roles as a GP Receptionist, Crisis Mental Health Peer Support Worker, Administrator within Health Visiting, a Medical Secretary in Paediatric Neurology at UHW and now supporting consultants as a Personal Assistant within the Local Public Health Team.

Rachel has a special interest in Psychology and Mental Health and is a trained NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner with a passion to support and coach those experiencing mental distress.
