Abortion Care (Pregnancy Advisory Service)

positive pregnancy test

An abortion is the medical process of ending a pregnancy and it is also sometimes known as a termination. If you’re pregnant and considering abortion, you are not alone. We are here to support you through the process.

If you live in the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board area and are considering abortion treatment, please fill in this form. Please note, this online referral form is only for people living in the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board area. If you live outside this area, please gov.wales/nhs-wales-health-boards-and-trusts for your local services.

If you are unable to fill in the form, you can still call us on 02921 842 638. Our phone line is often busy, so please bear with us and we will answer as soon as possible. The lines are open during weekday office hours, and we welcome phone calls in Welsh and in English.

We recommend online STI testing before we see you. You can use Public Health Wales Test and Post Service to get a free test kit for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea. You can also get a free kit that will test for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.

If you would like, we also offer all methods of contraception at our clinic. Take a look at Contraception Choices to explore your options.

Please visit shwales.online for more information about your options for an unplanned pregnancy.
