ChatHealth is a text messaging service aimed at 11–19-year-olds. It was developed and supported by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in 2013 and was launched in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan by the School Nursing Team in 2019.
It can help with a number of issues including:
Start by sending a text to 07520 615 718 (texts are charged at your standard network rate). You’ll then be connected to a school nurse who can offer confidential advice, information and support.
The service is active Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (except bank holidays). You should receive a response within 24 hours, but if you message out of these hours, you will receive an automated message offering a range of contact details for other organisations
ChatHealth is anonymous, secure and convenient. No question will be left unanswered. It only takes one message to start making a difference.
If you need urgent health advice, visit NHS 111 Wales or call 111. If it’s an emergency, dial 999.
