Primary Community and Intermediate Care Clinical Board: Staff Recognition Event 2025

Colleagues across the Primary, Community and Intermediate Care (PCIC) Clinical Board were recognised for their achievements and hard work at the annual Staff Recognition and Celebratory Event.

The event on Wednesday 23rd April was a chance to bring PCIC colleagues from across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan together and recognise and celebrate their invaluable contribution to supporting people to live well in the community.

The PCIC Clinical Board provides a huge range of healthcare services from primary care to CAV 24/7, district nursing, sexual health services, prison health care and specialised care for vulnerable groups. The Clinical Board mainly provides primary and community-based services, but also includes the specialist palliative care team.

Chief Executive Suzanne Rankin and Vice Chair Ceri Phillips spoke at the event, recognising the incredible contribution from all colleagues. Ceri Phillips and Emma Cooke, Deputy Director of Therapies and Health Science, also presented awards to the winners.

Chief Executive Suzanne Rankin said: “Congratulations to all the winners, runners-up and nominees at this year's PCIC Staff Recognition and Celebratory Event. It was clear from attending the event that PCIC has much to celebrate and during the past year this has been evident in the incredible work taking place right across Primary Community and Intermediate Care. I could sense the collective pride and was inspired by colleagues' compassion, commitment and dedication and the visible joy at celebrating each other’s achievements.

Thank you for the invitation and for all that PCIC colleagues are doing every day as we strive to deliver our Strategy and become a truly integrated community care system. Well done everybody!"

Special thanks to Cardiff and Vale Health Charity who kindly funded tea, coffee and cake for colleagues on the day.

A huge congratulations to all winners, runners up and nominees!
