Launch of the NHS Wales Staff Survey – Your Voice Matters

16 October 2023

Today marks the launch of the Wales-wide NHS Staff Survey – a key opportunity for all colleagues across NHS Wales to submit anonymous feedback that will help to influence plans and decisions made both nationally and within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Electronic submissions are now live and available to complete via our web browser link here and our smartphone/tablet link here, until Monday 27th November 2023, when they will close at 5pm. Paper submissions will be available to complete until Monday 27th November 2023, 5pm.

Telephone – by calling 0808 169 9961 to participate in your preferred language or if you have a specific accessibility requirement.

Chief Executive Suzanne Rankin said: “Your insights and experiences play a vital role in shaping the culture, and ensuring that we continue to develop and improve the care and treatment that we give, and really importantly, making Cardiff and Vale a really great place to learn and to work.

“The NHS Wales Staff Survey is an important means by which we can understand what matters to you, and use that insight to inform future plans. It provides an opportunity for you to share your thoughts, concerns and suggestions openly, and really importantly, anonymously.”

“Your feedback will be used to identify areas where we can excel, and areas where we can do better. It will serve as a roadmap to make priority-driven decisions and implement positive changes that I believe will benefit everyone.”

The survey is completely anonymous, with CAVUHB, HEIW and all other participating Health Boards having no access to individual or personal data. Any findings that are reported back are in summary and do not reveal personal details.

The data from the NHS Wales Staff Survey will support and ensure significant and sustained improvements in work environments and experiences such that staff thrive and are able to deliver high quality, continually improving and compassionate care.

The survey is available for contracted staff (excluding primary care) and bank staff, the scope of which will continually be assessed and reviewed by Welsh Government.

The results for this year’s survey will be published in the Spring, 2024.
