This month four wards have been presented with Bronze Accreditation under Cardiff and Vale University Health Board's Ward Accreditation and Improvement Programme. The accreditation recognises the dedication of the teams to delivering high standards of care and successfully using data-driven insights to implement meaningful improvements.

The wards’ nursing teams were presented with certificates by Executive Director of Nursing Jason Roberts and Interim Deputy Executive Nurse Director Jane Murphy.

The award acknowledges the nursing teams’ ability to undertake improvement cycles, demonstrate sustained progress, and introduce impactful changes to enhance patient care. It also represents an important milestone on their journey to Silver Accreditation, which focuses on engaging the wider multi-disciplinary team in their improvement efforts. By embracing change and working together, the teams are improving patient care and outcomes, and the Health Board is proud to support them on this journey.
The Cardiff and Vale Health Board Ward Accreditation and Improvement Programme is a structured initiative developed by a dedicated team within the Health Board. It brings together clinical and digital analytic expertise, using data to support continuous improvement across all wards.
