Cardiff and Vale University Health Board staff can access a more sustainable way to travel with OVO bikes

2 March 2022

As part of an ongoing partnership that has been formulated by the physical activity team within the Local Public Health Team, the Health Board has over 1,000 free OVO bikes memberships available for staff. These memberships are a great way for those who live and work within Cardiff and Vale to become more physically active when travelling to and from work, as well as encouraging a more sustainable way to travel.

As an organisation, the Health Board is passionate about improving its impact on the environment and promoting more sustainable ways to travel.

With OVO bikes stations across Health Board sites, including UHW, UHL, Woodland House, and across Cardiff, staff have an opportunity to embrace more active travel solutions in their daily lives, by using an OVO bike annual membership for travelling to work or for leisure.

What does the membership get you?

  • One hour ride for free across Cardiff and some stations in the Vale of Glamorgan
  • Access to manual bikes and E-Bikes
  • Convenient and sustainable travel
