To mark Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th-15th October), the Patient Experience Team have set up memorial trees at both University Hospital of Wales and University Hospital of Llandough.
These trees will enable bereaved parents, families and colleagues who have experienced the loss of a baby to honor their loved ones. Individuals can write a message to hang on the tree and light a candle in their memory.
The memorials can be found at the Sanctuary at University Hospital of Wales (Floor 5, B Block) and the Chapel at University Hospital Llandough. Chaplains are available at both locations for individuals who are seeking emotional support.
Some of our Health Board Bereavement Nurses will also be holding a stand in the Concourse area of University Hospital of Wales on Friday 15th October, between 08:00-15:00, to offer advice and to signpost people to support services.
