Executive Director of Finance

Catherine joined Cardiff and Vale University Health Board in March 2021 from North Bristol NHS Trust in the South West of England where she was the Director of Finance, Planning and Commercial development since 2013.  Prior to this she has held a number of senior positions within NHS finance for over 15 years. 

Catherine trained and qualified as an accountant whilst working within NHS finance since 1992 and became a Fellow of the Chartered institute of certified accountants (ACCA) in 2003. 

In 2020 Catherine was awarded Director of Finance of the year by the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the health service in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
