Has pedestrian access to site changed?

After assessing the level of construction traffic on site and keeping our commitment to safeguard our patients, staff and visitors, we have decided to close the covered walkway that runs parallel to the lake and provides access to Concourse.

The alternative access will take patients staff and visitors on a path provided around the perimeter of the disabled car park into the Concourse area. While we build a ramp which will be ready by Wednesday 30 September, our contractors are there to assist our disabled patients, staff and visitors to access Concourse.

The contractor is also providing additional lighting for the footpath to ensure the route is well illuminated when it turns dark outside.

We recognise construction is moving at such a fast pace and we are doing our best to keep you updated with progress. Although the build may pose some inconvenience in this short term, we really do value the support we have from our patients, staff and visitors while we develop this facility in preparation for a potential second peak of Covid-19.

Please be assured that the safety of our patients, staff and visitors remains our priority, but this construction is deemed necessary to enable us to provide the additional capacity.
