What Mandatory Training do I have to do?

New Starters

When a new starter is offered a position, they will also be provided with a date to attend Corporate Induction.   At this point they will also be porovided with instructions on how to access ESR to complete their mandatory training, which will include the modules they need to complete.   All Mandatory Training MUST be completed within 3 months of your start date.

Existing Staff 

How often you need to complete a specific module will depend on your role.
There are currently 13 modules that are classified as mandatory, these are:

1. Fire Safety
2. Health and Safety
3. Infection, Prevention and Control
4. Equality
5. Information Governance
6. Manual Handling
7. Violence & Aggression
8. Resuscitation
9. Safeguarding Adults
10. Safeguarding Children
11. Mental Capacity Act
12. Dementia Awareness
13. Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence

However not all staff are required to complete all 13.  To find out what you need to complete, and how often, check your compliance record on ESR.    

This is automatically updated as you complete the required modules, and has a RAG (Red, Amber, Green) system to show what is upt to date or needs to be done.    If you disagree with a module/level or refresher period, please discuss with your Line Manager who wll need to discuss the requested changes with LED.
