In instances where the doctor is employed by Cardiff University as a ‘clinical academic’ but requires an NHS honorary contract with the Health Board for any agreed clinical work they may undertake within their job plan or to enable access to NHS/UHB facilities, the doctor should liaise with their University HR team initially who will organise for an appropriate honorary contract request to be submitted to the UHB’s Consultant Recruitment Team.
