Emergency Dental Treatment at UDH

Patients who are not registered with a dentist and who require emergency dental treatment must telephone the Dental Helpline on 029 20 444 500.

Patients will be asked a series of questions and will then be directed to the most appropriate place to receive care.

The Dental Hospital Emergency Department will only treat:

  • Severe Dental Pain
  • Trauma
  • Facial Swelling
  • Uncontrolled Bleeding

Patients will be seen according to clinical priority and not the order of arrival.
