What courses are available?

1. Living well with diabetes- a six week course of 2.5 hours per week. Over the six weeks we look at the effects our lifestyles have on blood glucose levels. The course encourages participants to look at their lifestyle and to make small changes that will help to prevent complications of diabetes. 

2. Living Well with a Health Condition- a six week course of 2.5 hours per week. Over the six weeks we look at the common symptoms a long-term health condition brings. We look at different tools and techniques we can use to break the symptom cycle and learn to manage our well being.

3. Living Well with Pain – a six week self-management course.   Chronic or persistent pain is pain that carries on for longer than 12 weeks despite medication or treatment.  Chronic pain can also affect people living with: arthritis, fibromyalgia, Irritable bowel and back pain.  The course addresses the Pain Symptom Cycle by using self-management tools either taken/adapted from the Living Well with a Health Condition course as well as using techniques such as the Moving Easy Programme (MEP) – an enjoyable and safe way to improve flexibility.
