The Wellbeing Hub@Park View will be one of the first Wellbeing Hubs in west Cardiff. (We have plans for the similar Wellbeing Hubs and a Health and Wellbeing Centre in the Vale of Glamorgan too).It will link to Cardiff Council’s Ely and Caerau Community Hyb building on Cowbridge Road West.
Your Wellbeing Hub@Park View will replace the old Park View Health Centre building and add new services to meet the needs of the people in the Cardiff South West Cluster. We will expand our services and we will further integrate with those already provided by the Cardiff Council building and the growing links with other health and social care providers and community groups across Caerau, Ely, Riverside and Canton.
We are doing Equality and Health Impact Assessments (EHIA) when developing these plans. This will make sure that we have considered the impact on people with protected characteristics and meet the statutory and mandatory requirements including those of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act that places a wellbeing duty on public bodies in Wales. You can see the working document here as we develop them throughout the project.
The context for engaging with stakeholders is the implementation of the Shaping Our Future Wellbeing Strategy. However, it is acknowledged that significant engagement has already been undertaken, the outcomes of which has shaped our plan to transform the way we deliver services within the community.
